Conor is accused of rape again. McGregor implicated in at least three incidents

Conor McGregor vuelve a verse envuelto en un escándalo de violación

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has a long trail of allegations of rape and sexual harassment. Moreover, the celebrity has been in the news about criminal incidents that took place not only in Ireland but also in France.

The most high-profile incident was the one that took place in 2018. McGregor received a pre-trial order notifying him that there was evidence against him in a rape case in which the athlete is being tried as a defendant. Of course, Conor himself denies everything. However, this story is not the only situation of this kind that Conor has found himself in.

According to the British media, in December 2018, the ex-champion raped a girl he only knew through social media correspondence, and the girl, who grew up in the same neighbourhood as the celebrity, made no secret of her sympathy for the fighter. She received an invitation supposedly to a party and McGregor’s driver came to pick her up. On the way, he offered her cocaine and brought her to a hotel, where the girl went up to the penthouse where the athlete lived.

In the penthouse, Conor stripped the girl of her clothes, she resisted, at which point the fighter grabbed her by the neck three times, saying that he himself felt as she did at that moment in the octagon. The celebrity athlete then raped the girl.

Conor McGregor caught up in rape scandal again

When the case was made public, Conor McGregor, through the mouth of his spokesperson Karen Kessler, denied all allegations. In a comment to The Independent, Kessler stated that there is plenty of evidence to prove the fighter’s innocence. She also stated McGregor’s intention to contest all claims in the case.

The matter must be settled by the jury. Dave Coleman Coleman Legal Partners, representing the victim, commenting on the case for the media, was very brief, saying only that he has no right to disclose any details until the court decision.

This is far from the only instance in the ‘collection’ of rape allegations received by the celebrity fighter. In particular, in 2019, it was reported in the press that the athlete raped a 20-year-old girl in a car. However, no official charges have been filed against McGregor and his spokesperson described the situation as rumours, the emergence of which is inevitable given the fame of the athlete.

Details of this story are unknown, because according to Irish law, the names of those involved in rape cases cannot be made public until the court decision. The press has therefore limited itself to reports of a sexual offence against “a well-known Irish sports star”.

Conor also “made his mark” in 2020 when he was detained by Corsica police in September for attempted rape. It is known that this case of sexual harassment by McGregor was heard in the prosecutor’s office. In April 2021, the case was closed due to lack of proper evidence. However, because of this story, McGregor had to withdraw from the charity event, a 24-hour water-bike race, which was also entered by Princess Charlene.
